“Greater Poland Uprising” Bike Trail

The bike trail follows the journey of the Greater Poland insurgents as they moved between battles and skirmishes. There is a number of interesting sites to see along the trail. In Łomnica, you can see a Baroque wooden church. There is also a commemorative plaque with the insurgents’ names near the local school. In Chrośnica, there is a cemetery with the graves of fallen insurgents. Make a stop in Stefanowo to visit the Railway Memorial Room. In Nowa Wieś Zbąska, you can see a mass grave of Greater Poland insurgents. In Chobienice, there are ruins of the Mielżyński family palace; Ignacy Mielżyński commanded a unit of insurgents during the uprising. There is also a cemetery with a grave of the soldiers fallen in the Greater Poland Uprising.
