The town hall, located at the centre of Niepodległości square in Nowy Tomyśl and dating back to 1879, is an Eclectic two-storey building with a central section and two wings. The main portal of the town hall is adorned with a relief of the town crest and two female figures holding a sword and scales - symbols of the judiciary power. The building currently serves as the seat of the District Court. On 27 January 1984, a plaque was installed on the façade of the building, commemorating the people held in the Nazi prison which was located in the town hall between 1939 and 1941.
