Village of Bytnica

Address Bytnica
The village was known from 1308 as Bitenisz, and mentioned for the first time as Butnicz in 1329. At that time Henryk Żagański gave his land, where Bytnica was located, as a fief to Jan Luksemburski. It must have been a large village with a castle located on the pass between two lakes.
