The palace was built in 1601, most likely on the site of a castle which stood there before. In 1729, it was reconstructed in Baroque style. The building has been abandoned since the end of World War II. In the 1970s, some renovation and conservation works were performed. In 1991, the roof replacement works started but were never completed.
