Former Cistercian monastery complex in Marianów

Today the only remains of the Cistercian monastery are: –The Gothic brick Church of Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary from the 2nd half of the 13th century, with a tower added in 1892. In the church walls there are two simple portals, the southern for nuns and the northern for other believers. Inside the church there is the main altar - a pentaptych. The picture on the predella depicts a daughter of the duke Barnim XI, Anna, who later became the duchess of Anhalt. The picture is considered the most valuable part of the altar. – The west wing of the monastery with a small part of the former farm building. – The wall around the complex which is 91 m long and 1.5-2 m high. – The nearby "Sydonia" oak tree - a natural monument.
