St. John the Baptist's Church

Address Żabów, Kośció Pyrzyce, Żabów
The Gothic church in Żabów is an aisleless oriented building, erected on a rectangular plan and built of fieldstone. Brick was only used for details and the upper part of the tower. The ceiling is wooden, beamed and topped with a tin roof. The Neo-Gothic tower was added in 1899. In the square surrounding the church there are still some gravestones. Inside the church there is historic equipment: a Baroque pulpit altar from 1720, an 18th-century oil painting on canvas titled "The Baptism of Christ", a coat of arms plaque of the property's owner - Bertram Plotze - dated 1569, some benches from the 19th century and a choir.
