The Late Gothic stone and brick church in Żalęcin was built in the 1st half of the 14th century, on a quadrangular plan. It was destroyed in 1945 and rebuilt in 1985-86. In January 1999 the fire consumed the sacristy and the church interior (it could have been an arson).
