The Park and Palace Complex in Dąbroszyn
Address |
Dąbroszyn, 66-460 Witnica |
Built in 1690, the palace was originally in Baroque style, but later remodelled in Gothic Revival. Inside the palace, you can see the preserved plaster ornaments, chimneys, wood panelling and paintings. Near the palace, there is a Gothic Revival church from 1827 with a mausoleum displaying outstanding works of Baroque art - full-scale statues of the first owners of the estate, Marshall Hans Adam II von Schöning and his wife, Johanne Margarete. The basement holds a crypt with an ornamental Baroque sarcophagus of the Marshall, and an exhibition of coffin decorations.
