“Pamięcin” nature reserve

The nature reserve provides protection of the unique grass communities, characterised by the largest portion of Mediterranean species in Poland. Covering almost 12 hectares, the nature reserve includes several deep ravines cutting through the edges of the glacial valley of the Oder. You can spot a number of characteristic species there, including feather grass, needle glass, field eryngo, purple-flowered viper’s grass, St Bernard’s lily or snowdrop anemone. The nature reserve is most impressive when the feather grass is in bloom, forming a white, rolling grassland tapestry.
