A sumptuous Romanesque Revival church dating back to 1840. Białków has a very interesting layout and a number of historic buildings from the 19th century which lend the town a nice atmosphere. Interestingly, Białków is the capital of the “Poleszuki” people, who were relocated here after World War II from the Polesia region in Eastern Europe. They gained prominence in the 1990s through their organised efforts to maintain their traditions and identity. “Poleszuki” are known for excellent cuisine, handcraft and theatrical performances.
