The construction of the church started in 1693 on behalf of Georg Adolph Barholido von Mickrander. It was finished in spring 1701. The equipment of the church included numerous liturgical vessels funded by the patron and the bell donated by the heirs of the baron, with the radius of 36 cm. In the church there was an ornamental epitaph of the baron, but it did not stand the test of time.
