The first mentions of the church date back to 1308. The current temple was built on the site of an older one, which was probably made of timber. The church as it is today was built of brick in mid-19th Century in Late Classicist style. In mid-16th Century, the original church was taken over by Protestants. In 1945, it was converted into a Catholic temple.
