The Late Romanesque church, dating back to mid-13th Century, is located at the town square. Between the 14th and the 16th Century, the church underwent a number of reconstructions and expansions, with only several sections of the southern nave wall and the base of the tall steeple with a granite portal surviving from the original temple. Due to soil accumulation, to enter the church you must go down rather than up. Inside the church, you can see a number of valuable historic items, in particular the main altar, the pulpit, the font, and the pipe organs built in 1918 by Gustav Heinze of Żory. Since 1999, the church hosts performances of chamber and pipe organ music.
