The nature reserve was established in 1959 on over 7 hectares in order to protect the broadleaved forest, i.e. a deciduous forest where the dominant species are hornbeams, beeches and oaks. The tallest trees grow to over 30 m and in the undergrowth, you can spot the rare martagon lily.
