World’s first Wikipedia monument

Address Plac Frankfurcki, 69-100 Słubice
The idea of the monument came from Krzysztof Wojciechowski, the administrative director of Collegium Polonicum, as a recognition of the efforts put daily by users from around the world into creating the unique repository of global knowledge that is Wikipedia. The monument, located at Frankfurcki square in Słubice and uncovered on 22 October 2014, depicts the well-known Wikipedia logo of an incomplete orb made of puzzles, carried by four figures standing on a pile of books. The monument was designed by an Armenian artist Mihran Hakobjan.
