The monument of the great Polish musician was uncovered on 20 June 2009 in the presence of Niemen’s family. The idea for a bench monument of Czesław Niemen, which is located in Jan Paweł II square in Świebodzin, came from Czesław Niemen Memorial Association. The monument was funded by the authorities of the town and district of Świebodzin, and multiple private donors. The monument was designed and sculpted by Robert Sobociński.
