The discovery of oil in Rybaki marked the beginning of oil drilling in this region of Poland, with a dedicated state-owned oil exploration company founded in 1968 in Zielona Góra. The drilled oil deposits are usually small, with the reserves between several dozen and several hundred tons of oil.
