Established in 2004, the nature conservation site includes the Lower Section of the Noteć river (the terrace) and the mouth to the Warta river, along with the adjacent areas in the community of Zwierzyn. It is one of the largest conservation sites in the Lubusz Voivodeship, and the domain of the European beavers which dig their holes in the causeways and flood control dykes. The lush and diverse flora also provides a habitat for many other animal species.
