View of Chociwel from the shore of Lake Chociwel (Starzyc)

The lake is around 3 km long but very narrow, with only around 200 metres between the shores. It is a ribbon lake with a characteristic pipe-like shape and steep shores formed by the water flowing from the face of the glacier. The maximum depth of the lake is 9 metres. The Krąpiel river flows through the lake.
