Monument of the victims of the P.O.W. camp, which existed in Gębice between 1938 and 1943. Initially, the camp held several dozen members of the Czech military. After the September Campaign of 1939, Polish prisoners of war began to arrive in the camp. Other prisoners included a group of 100 clergymen, including 50 monks from Niepokalanów. St Maksymilian Maria Kolbe was held there for 3 months.
