A section of fortifications from the turn of the 14th and 15th century. Originally a wall encircling the town with three gates: the Ostrów Gate (Brama Ostrowska), the Monastery Gate (Brama Klasztorna) and the Krosno Gate (Brama Krośnieńska), the fortifications also included fortlets (castella) and castle towers. The only gate tower to survive the dismantlement of the fortifications in the 19th century is the one at Ostrów Gate.
