The Eichenhorst (Oak Nest) palace was built at the end of the 19th century. In 1920, it was acquired by General Kazimierz Sosnkowski and after World War II, served as a Forestry Vocational School. In 1993, the Forest Inspectorate of Grodzisk turned the palace into a training and recreational centre, while the building of the old dormitory was adapted for a hotel. The palace is surrounded by a 27-hectare park with a number of nature monument trees. In the forest, approx. 500 m from the palace, there is a beautiful chapel. It was built in 1928, likely for the baptism of General Sosnkowski’s son and as a mausoleum for the General’s family.
Look for the cache outside the shrine. Good luck!
