Overpass over the “Berlin Road”

The voivodeship road no. 142 is often called the “Berlin Road” (Polish: berlinka). Built in the 1930s as a motorway with concrete pavement and two lanes in each direction, it is still in use. The original concrete pavement has been replaced with asphalt. During the war, the Germans resigned from building the second carriageway, because the light-coloured concrete would be a clear target for the Allied forces.
