Monument to the soldiers fallen in World War I

Address 73-110 Sowno
In the towns and villages incorporated into Poland after World War II, Polish settlers frequently came across monuments commemorating the previous citizens, in particular the German soldiers killed in World War I. Those monuments were often toppled and destroyed, or replaced with other monuments. The one in Sowno has survived, perhaps because the massive granite boulder was to difficult to break.
