The church of St. Hedwig was built for the Lutheran residents in 1602-03 on the initiative of the contemporary owner of the village of Balthasar von Rechenberg-Salisch. Like many churches in the region it was turned over to the Catholics after the Thirty Years' War, in 1654. The church was built of stone and lime mortar, in the Late Renaissance style, Its equipment is from the 17th and 18th century.
