The trail runs close to Lake Czarne (Black Lake, also known as Black Pond), a 260 m long and 210 m wide oval-shaped inland lake with the maximum depth of 13 m. The name of the lake originates from the dark hue of its waters, which is intensified by the shadow of the forest on the hills surrounding the lake.
