The church steeple was built in 1936 as a Modernist structure. Devastated during World War II, it was rebuilt as a detached building next to the church. Interestingly, the steeple was originally built with brick, but rebuilt after the war with stone, while the church, originally a stone structure, was rebuilt with brick.
