The face of the statue belongs to Zofia Gorzeńska who in 1752 was appointed Mistress of the Hunt of Wschowa by King Augustus III the Saxon. The original statue was erected in 1806 but was lost in 1945. In 2012, by the efforts of the Society of Polish Dianas (Polish: Stowarzyszenie Polskich Dian), a new statue was uncovered in Wschowa at the corner of Matejki and Lipowa streets, close to Tomasz Zan High School.
