The village of Janowo is located on the edge of the deep valley of the Płonia river. The lookout point offers a splendid vista of the local area with its hills and valleys, forests, farm fields and ponds, with the Płonia winding at the bottom and eventually flowing into Lake Płoń. Some of the local hills are quite high and covered with dense forests, giving the area a nearly mountainous feel.
