Holy Family Church

Address Sękowice, 66-620 Gubin, Sękowice
This former Protestant church, later converted into a Roman Catholic temple, was built in the second half of the 18th Century on an octagonal plan with a rectangular sacristy on its eastern side. Its characteristic feature is the octagonal roof. The surviving original furnishing of the church includes Renaissance tombstones, a Baroque altar and the baptismal font from the second half of the 17th Century. In 1813 and at the beginning of the 20th Century, the church underwent a number of renovations; the last renovation, conducted between 2007 and 2014 saved the temple from collapse. Next to the church, you can see votive reliefs from the former German cemetery.
