The fortified settlement is circular, with nearly perfectly round ring of bulwarks. It was harboured safely in the marshes spreading between Lake Golenickie and the Kruszwin stream. The bulwarks were additionally protected by a 5-m deep moat. The diameter of the settlement bulwarks is 58 and the only gap is the gate on the eastern side.
