The majority of the trail is located on the areas of three Local Action Groups, running through towns and villages where memorabilia of the Greater Poland Uprising can be found. The trail leads through the main sites of the Uprising: Pniewy, Lwówek and Opalenica, cutting through fields, meadows and forests, along paved and unpaved roads. It is marked by two crossed black sabres and direction signs.
